So, what is really happening with PSN?
Rumours are that it's not actually an attack/breach by the 'anonymous' hacking community officially but a subset of that community that have gone rogue!

Anywhoo, all the moaning that's been done on forums over the last fews days has just been pointless, it's estimated that there are 89 million PSN accounts, that's a lot of credit card info! So, if there was indeed a breach of PSN that means the data, including CC details were possibly compromised! No wonder Sony is taking it's time getting PSN back on line! Patience people Smile

Also, does anyone else think the chap in socom 4 looks and moves like the chap in unchartered? lol!

Fuck only knows they need to hurry up I would have been rank ten by now. Crying or Very sad

Check the ps blog this is the latest.....

I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time. As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly. Will keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience.

As for the socom man he does look like matey from uncharted but he sounds like he is from eaton.
I wanna know what the fuck the nigger from brum is about?!? Laughing

I recon they just put in different voice actors hence the fact that the script sounds american.

Latest rumour is that someone got hold of a Dev account and applied a back-door entry in to the PS store, where they could load up a dummy credit card with free content.

Yeah, been all over the BBC news this morning too! They've really dropped the ball on this one. Mad

Make sure you all change your PSN login password once the service is back. I will be removing my credit card from my account too and start using PSN cards instead. The instant codes Shopto.net do are cheaper and you get the code straight away:

http://www.shopto.net/PS3/ACCESSORIES/PS325CODEINSTANT-PlayStation%20Network%20Card%2025%20PSN.html

http://www.shopto.net/PS3/VIDEO%20GAMES/PS335CODEINSTANT-PlayStation%20Network%20Card%2035%20PSN%20Instant%20Code.html

May as well save a few quid in the process..

PSN should be back Wednesday / Thursday is come capacity. Although it's unclear whether this is all regions all in one go. Sony are offering some goodies to keep us all sweet:

Central components of the “Welcome Back” program will include:

  • Each territory will be offering selected PlayStation entertainment
content for free download. Specific details of this content will be
    announced in each region soon.
  • All existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30
days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service. Current
members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service.
  • Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will receive 30 days free service.

When it's secure and ready I suspect! Keep an eye on the EU Blog for updates:

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/

At the end of the day, Sony aren't going to put it live when it still can be compromised. The bunch of hackers who bought it down have already stated that they are ready for another attack.

If only we could get hold of their names and addresses.. Twisted Evil

P.s - you can't play S4 on Xbox. Only Gears of war, Halo or that Cod shite. Razz

Gears 3 will be a heavy hitter, don't worry about that.
