Dead PS3 number two

PS3 number two died last night.....red flashing light thing!

Are you feeding your PS3's Pot Noodles (Or Not Poodles) or something?

What are you going to do? Send it to the Console Doctor for repair?

Dunno, GT5 disc stuck in drive!!!

I think I might need to buy a slim, know of any good deals???

Had a result, after spouting legal blah at poor bloke on Sony support line then demanding to talk with his supervisor Sony have agreed to replace busted PS3 free of charge!

Nice one! Make sure you tell them that the disk is stuck in the drive. The same thing happened to me (it was GT5 Prologue funnily enough) and the disk took 3 weeks to come back. Are they fixing yours or replacing it? 'Cos if they're replacing it you're going to loose your GT5 save data! But, being in IT I'm assuming you took regular backups of your data?

I'm getting a replacement that'll be delivered tomorrow, they take my busted one back. Apparently if the console has a game stuck inside they send it to another facility to retrieve the game and return it to you within 6 weeks!

So, question is, am I going to have to start GT5 all over again? i.e Have I lost my cars!

Being in IT I understand the need for backups,.... I don't do them though....that's how IT works!

OK, looks like I've lost my GT5 progress! Cars included!

Please make backups of the GT5 files, or you'll be in my shoes! Gutted

Hmmm - 320gb PS3 with LBP2 from Tesco's for £228 (minus £4.56 reward points) - that's tempting. Do I need 3 PS3's though? Probably not. But I suspect the boys 60gb will go pop at some point though...Decisions, decisions..

What the hell. Pick-up my new 320gb this evening. Will be selling the 60gb on to recoup some money back and the boy gets my old 250gb.

Just a heads-up - Asda are selling the 160gb in store for £175. Could be useful if you know someone who's after a PS3.
