So, as I right this, I ask myself.... "Has the CDR played it's last on-line game in large numbers?" Crying or Very sad

Voted maybe.

I don't think there will ever be a game which will keep us all amused for any length of time anymore. Let's face it, the ONLY reason why Socom 2 was so insanely popular was because there was fook all else to play online on the PS2. Oh, and it was rather good. (But got a bit boring in the end)

I would love to see everyone on GT5, followed by a bit of shooting on something else (but not Cod). All eyes will be on Socom 4. Let's hope that doesn't turn out to be a PoS.

I'll be buying a shed load of games this year (again) - so at least I'm making the effort to try new things...

I too voted maybe and agree with the points made by Mickus.

There are quite a few of us still around on Mondays and Thursday, so at least that tradition is being upheld, it's just the game content.
Some want a shooter and some want driving. I agree that if SOCOM 4 keeps to its promise so far, we may well see the return of gamers reconvening on one game. FINGERS CROSSED!

Was thinking about our clan nights - anyone think it would be a good idea to somehow map how our clan night's are going to pan out through the year?

So, my suggestions would be something like:

Now.
GT5 followed by MCD.

End of February (25th)
GT5 followed by KZ3

Mid-April
Motorstorm 3 followed by KZ3

Mid-May
Motorstorm 3 followed by Socom 4

Obviously there's a million-and-one other games coming out this year BUT if we can keep the clan nights to set games through the year, then there will be a better chance of us all getting on together more regularly.

What say you lot? Any other potential clan games tickling your fancy coming out this year?

I'm not sure I'll be purchasing motorstorm 3. If GT5 pumps out some DLC, I'll prob stick to it!

I'm happy to stick with GT5 too - the only reason why I suggested MS3 was that for some reason a few of the clan haven't bought it. Which is a shame 'cos it's got a lot of legs for online and it has an awesome private lounge setup which ranks you up. Plus the offline is an ever involving game with the weekly updates.

So Pikey / Singe / Colin /Barnacle if you're reading this but/rent/borrow/steal GT5 and get your arses online!

There's supposed to be an update coming early February, not sure if that includes DLC but I see the GT academy has a new track to race on: Eifel Circuit. Plus, there's always a chance that the create a track function will be shareable online. Now that would be awesome as the track count would be almost infinite!
